Statement

am a contemporary realist painter who lives and works in Dayton, Ohio, a city near to where I was born and raised. As a representational artist I consider my art to be an interpretation of what I observe around me. My desire is to express the essence of that which makes one unique.

Oils and pastels are the mediums I choose to express my creativity. Primarily, I paint in oils, in a manner inspired by many of my favorite artists, in a direct painterly style with brushy strokes. I am driven to paint, and there is nothing more enjoyable for me than being able to express myself through visual impressions.
